Pay Scale

The Jefferson County Department of Health (JCDH) strives to maintain a competitive pay structure for its employees. The JCDH operates on a pay grade system where each job is assigned to a pay grade based on prevalent market rates. Each pay grade provides a pay range based on a step system where employees within a given job are hired at a step within the assigned pay grade commensurate with the employee's qualifications and available funds for the position.
